I am a Graduate architecture student in my second year of Master's study at Cornell working and have worked on the Small Scale Plant. My contributions to this team will involve developing several solutions for physical models in order to provide a tactile demonstration of the function of the plant. I have consulted previously on the last iteration of the model and now will actively participate in building the newest iteration using 3D printing among other media.included designing and building a nearly complete model from 3D printed parts and laser-cut pieces. These parts were printed using Shapeways.com or at the department of Architecture Art and Planning at Cornell. The model is to serve a didactic purpose to assist in the understanding of AguaClara technology to multiple demographics. I will continue to consult the Small Scale Model team in the future on 3D printing and model-building solutions, including how to more directly translate the scripted model into 3D printable geometry.
