This semester I worked with the Outreach Team to organize different ways to improve the image of AguaClara. Throughout the semester I helped to plan the Rock for Honduras Benefit Concert and started the production of a concept video for the team. The video will explain (in very basic terms) the functionality of our plants and the impact they are having worldwide. It is targeted towards people both within and outside of Cornell that are looking to learn about what we do as a team. Additionally, I worked to update student and team information on the new wiki so that people could learn more about specific team members and the work they are doing. I completed a commercial for the Rock for Honduras concert as well as helped to create profiles on different social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, CU blog) in order to communicate with the public and each other more easily.
Originally, I joined AguaClara this spring to make the concept video, but upon getting involved with Outreach Team I've been able to accomplish so much more. Not only have I worked on video projects, but I've helped to fundraise, learned more about how the wiki works, and of course, a whole lot more about how AguaClara functions. I gained more out of this semester than I ever expected and greatly value the time I spent working with AguaClara thus far.
