Accomplishments

• Effluent turbidity continues to be consistently under 1 NTU
• Successfully creating floc blankets
• Began running experiments
• Adjusted alum stock concentration so that system can be run for extended periods of time
• Alum stock now being controlled by a separate peristaltic pump

Outcomes

• Continuing to run system and make adjustments
• Continuing to thoroughly document system

Issues

• Floc blanket depth needs to be determined and held constant
• Mesh broke up large flocs: mesh removed.
• Sprung a leak! Problems with O-ring at waste effluent tube near top of column
• Need to determine future of PSS team experiments. Lots to do.
