Team Goals:accomplishments:

• Developed new synthetic wastewater stock recipe
• Maintained UASB reactors to keep them functioning
• Characterized contact time of settled bed

Goals for future work:

• Reduce the issue of plugs forming in AFB reactors
• Assemble and operate AFB reactors
• Characterize reactor performance 
• Fix leaks and create an accurate methane measurement system 
• Use a UASB for collaboration with the GSBR team
• Measure COD, N and P 
• Conduct experiments with the UASBs including varying the strength of wastewater, acid or oxygen stress

Personal Goals:

• Gain experience working in a lab and using various software (procoda, process controller)
• Improve communication and problem solving techniques 
• Create a system that can be implemented to help people in need
