During the 2008 winter intercession trip to Honduras, the team brought back a new clay pot from the factory for research purposes. The clay pot is made with a 50/50 sand sawdust to clay ratio, and coated with a silver solution to deactivate bacteria. The Point-of-Use (POU) system is useful for families that are located far from community treatment options, or who can not afford more expensive POU systems.
