The tube flocculator was constructed in the summer of 2008. To prevent flocs from settling in the tube flocculator is arranged in a vertical figure-eight. The flocculator has the same configuration and dimensions as the lab flocculator. A experimental set up for testing the turbidity at various point in the tube flocculator needs to be determined.

Maintenance
In order to begin running the flocculator, air must be siphoned out of the tube using a vaccuum pump. The tube flocculator should be kept at a lower elevation than the vertical flow hydraulic flocculator to to maximize available head.
The flocculator should be coiled in a way that prevents pinching of the tube.
