Being new to the project and a student from the Hotel School, I had a very difficult time trying to understand the information that I was looking at
and was going to be using on outreach projects. Since I have experience with photoshop programs and working on logos, however, I have been primarily assigned to put together material that will promote Aguaclara and raise awareness of our project. This includes
- Learning about AguaClara, since I am new to the team and am not an engineer, so that I can create accurate Outreach material
- Designing various sketches of a new logo that reflects what AguaClara is about
- Making posters (used for conferences and for the new poster that will be placed at the entrance of Hollister)
- Assisting in mainting and updating the Outreach team pages, so that it all files from this semester are easily accessible by future teams
- Creating updated pamphlets
- Working on literature/marketing materials, such as writing the informational packet with teammates
Creating posters has been a challenging project for me not only because I have had to go through many drafts and layouts to reach the final design, but also because I am new to the Aguaclara team and am not an engineer.
