You will remotely login to the CNF Thin service via the Cornell VPN using VPN using a special CNF Thin group VPN pool, RS-CNF-VPN-Thin .
- Download the ThinLinc client for your operating system.
- Download the Cisco AnyConnect client for your operating system.
- Connect to the Cornell NetID or GuestID VPN
- GuestID users use the Cornell GuestID VPN service to connect to RS-CNF
- -VPN-Thin
- NetID users use the Cornell NetID VPN service to RS
- -CNF-VPN-Thin
- In the installed ThinLinc client, set your preferred screen size:
- Click "Options"
- Click the "Screen" tab
- Choose your preferred screen size
- Make sure "Resize remote session to the local window" is checked
- With the installed ThinLinc client, connect to
Server: desktop-k.cnf.cornell.edu
Username: netid_or_guestid
Password: your netid or guestid password - To disconnect your session, press 'F8' and choose "Disconnect" - just as you would from a CNF Thinstation in the facility (sessions will also auto terminate in the same time frame as if accessing CNF Thin at the facility)
- Disconnect the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client connection.
