Events sponsored by AAD program areas will be considered for live streaming services by the ADD Digital Team. Events should be intended for a broad-base audience. Live stream attendees will be counted as participants in a digital event. Digital team resources include staffing, equipment, and venue support. Therefore, use of the AAD live stream platform is restricted to events that meet certain eligibility criteria.

  1. Events must be of interest to a broad-base audience.
  2. Events must have a AAD sponsor. (college/unit or central AAD staff member)
  3. Venues must meet technical requirements to live stream.
  4. Events must have the live stream approval from speakers.

Projects that do not meet all four of these criteria are not eligible for AAD Digital live stream services.

It is best practice to make all speakers aware of live streams or recordings before an event. A comfortable speaker performs much better in front of the camera. We do not require written permission from all speakers. All participants not affiliated with Cornell should sign a release.

The Digital Team will put proper tracking in place to capture information about live stream participants. We will require participants to share their name and email addresses. We will also ask for NetIDs and class years. These fields will not be required.
