I am a member of the Design team.
My first task was to work with Jeff Katz and Tai Kim to redesign the exit channel for the sedimentation tank. It was originally a copy of the entrance channel, and my team was tasked with minimizing its width based on head loss requirements. I worked on creating an initial draft of the code, adding the variable WExitChannelMin to the Variable Naming Guide, and documenting the code once it was completed.
My second task was to work with Jeff Katz on a creating a horizontal baffle system for the Flocculator for large flow rates. Jeff and I met with Monroe to talk about horizontal baffle dimensions and spacing, as well as how to
My third and final task is to work on the Inlet and Exit Tanks for the Sedimentation Tanks. They are currently being drawn such that they are extend beyond the side walls of the Sed Tank. I will change how they are drawn so they are flush with the Sed Tank. Also, I will be changing how the pipes are drawn, connecting the two pipes from the inlet and outlet tanks so they drain to the same place.
Spring 2010 Contributions
I have been working with Andrew Smith and Julie Pierce to create documentation for the plants. This documentation will consist of a Microsoft Word document that makes use of fields in order to display custom plant values, important equations, and various images. I have also created instructions to help future team members work on the documentation.
