Overview:

The subteam spotlights provide a critical role in updating members of the AguaClara team and the general public about AguaClara's projects. It provides a simple and concise report of each team's project, goal, and progress. By reviewing each team and each part of the water filtration process, the subteam spotlights give people a general understanding of AguaClara and water sanitation as a whole. Essentially the weekly spotlights are a way to bridge the information gap between the general public and members of AguaClara.

Work So Far:
The PR team has conducted two formal interviews with different subteams with AguaClara. The first one was with the Investment Team, and the second one was with the Chemical Dosage Control Team. The interviews have gone very well, and the final interviews have been posted on Facebook. The structure of the sub-teams spotlights is organized based on the flow of water through the plant.

Change:
The PR has changed the structure of the Subteam Spotlights from last semester. Before the PR team would do interviews with individual people, but these interviews were very personal and did not really connect to AguaClara and water sanitation as a whole. Now the PR team is focusing on team interviews and sharing the story of the whole team and its impacts. Taking a more holistic approach to the interviews will allow the general public and other teams to remain informed about AguaClara's projects and goals.
Challenges:
The main challenges of the semester have been finding a time that works for the majority of the team members, but usually, there are at least one or times a week that work for everyone. There is also another issue of taking high-quality photos of the entire team. Current the PR team has used an iPhone to take the images, but will find a high-quality camera for the future.
Next Steps:
For the future, the PR team will use a high-quality camera to take pictures. The subteam spotlights will continue every week until all the teams have shared their story. From there the PR team will share a report about Honduras and low tech water sanitation.
