The application running on Lee's SGI system, Materials Studio, allows for the viewing of really complicated crystal structures.

The application on this system was re-written by company to run on Windows. But the Windows application is not nearly as good as this older application.

Thus, Steven wants this system to run for as long as possible. He knows it can't run forever, of course.
