Accomplishments
- Explored different flocculation tank height geometry
- Explored the flocculation tank with small slot to see whether it will make the energy dissipation rate more uniform
- Recommended that flocculation tank height of 3b would be optimal geometry
Metrics
- Graphical comparison of different models to come up with the optimal geometry
Outcomes
- The flocculation tank with small slot is not effective
- The flocculation height of 0.3 results in the most uniform energy dissipation rate
Issues
- A better way is needed to determine the uniform energy dissipation rate instead of just using visual judgement of the uniformity
- Need to write a UDF script to compare the energy dissipation rate distribution
