There are many differences between Cornell/Columbia in the area of P+E orders, claiming and problem solving and check-in. Columbia has a separate process at Starr. Columbia has 13 different units for check-in and claiming. Biggest Difference, Columbia – print-only staff, Cornell – no format split. Binding – Columbia print serials involved; Cornell – located in Access Services. Question: Since print is slowing down, how much effort should this Working Group put into Phase 2? It was decided that shared Caiming Claiming would only make sense if internal records are accurate enough.
