Undergraduate Food Safety Studies at Colorado State University: Undergraduates interested in training in food safety typically apply to and enroll in a major in Food Science and Human Nutrition or a major in Animal Science at Colorado State University. While there is no designated "Food Safety" major at Colorado State University, an Interdisciplinary Studies Program in Food Science/Safety is available to undergraduates. The undergraduate interdisciplinary minor in Food Science/Safety is designed to be a supplement to the student's major. It is made up of a core of required courses (6 credits), foundation courses in the sciences (6 credits minimum), and a selection of advanced courses taken from at least three of the six cooperating departments (12 credits minimum) (see courses available below):
