Within Outreach, I work on the Public Relations team, as well as on Grants and Corporate Sponsors. I am writing a blurb for the Water Advocates eNewsletter. I am working on a script for phone calls, along with a standard letter, for contacting corporate sponsors. I am also working on a grant with Patagonia.I will be tabling the Tau Beta Pi Technical Fair on October 23.
I have come across some struggles with grants because of qualifying descriptions that AguaClara does not fulfill. Some setbacks include that it is not an NGO, it is affiliated with a university, and implementation is done in Honduras.
My goals for the rest of the semester include attaining the current grants I am researching, looking into more grants and corporate sponsorship opportunities, and bringing the AguaClara mission to the Cornell community more effectively.
