The gallery below shows results for Static Pressure contours and Velocity Vectors for these geometries. As expected the pressure drop is larger for the case of straight corners.
These results are preliminary and will be validated taking the following steps:
Mesh Refinement
A standard outlet pressure was set for all Straight Edge for validation. Also a Mesh Sensitivity analysis was performed. Results are plotted for a straight horizontal line at the middle of each baffle. These results are for Velocity Magnitude and Pressure Coefficient. Furthermore a contour of the strain rate was created to show velocity gradients around the 180 degree bend.
These results will be further validated by:
- Comparing
- Set a standard outlet pressure
- Perform a mesh sensitivity analysis
- Compare Simulation results to experimental data
