Predicted Results

With particle beads with two different sizes (D = 150 μm and 60 μm), the Tube Floc Team is expecting to see a drop in turbidity in two different phases: one at which particles of both sizes are present in the turbidimeter and settling column, and another after the larger, heavier particles have all settled, and only the smaller particles are present in the system.
A basic sketch of this predicted result can be found in Figure 1.1. Though no verification to this prediction has been made, through past experience, the team is expecting this general trend to show.

Empirical data for this expriment has yet been noted because the results we collected seem to give illogical values. Because of the problems encountered for the particle beads (see Problems Encountered), we suspect the results given by FReTA are affected by huge errors.
