Summer 2009 Contributions
The I am working on the Plate Settler Spacing team has . This summer, we are working with a tube settler of an ideal geometry, as determined by the Spring 2009 team, and subjecting it to non-ideal conditions. We have worked on essentially every experiment together, in terms of setting it up and monitoring its progress. In addition, I have analyzed data and created a couple of the graphs as well as worked with two through graphing the changing effluent turbidity according to the conditions we have set, and worked with the other team members to put the Midterm Wiki together (finishing graphs, writing methods and conclusions, and putting everything up on the site). I also worked on the teach-in presentation, goals, and research plan.I have been taking a class for the past four weeks that met for six hours a day, so the time I was able to come into the lab was very limited. Since the class just ended last week, I hope to be able to put a lot more energy and time into the experiments and be able to dedicate myself more fully to this projectinterpret the data. Hopefully, as the summer progresses and we are able to perform more experiments, we will have enough data to draw more significant conclusions.
