This semester, I am the leader of the Floating Floc research subteam. Thus far, the bulk of my responsibilities include training new members of the Floating Floc team, assembling and debugging the experimental setup to be used this summer with my teammates, and generally organizing/coordinating the future summer plans of the floating floc team with team members in a way that is hopefuly hopefully reasonable and beneficial to all. The Floating Floc team's summer plans can be viewed in the Summer 2009 detailed task list and research proposal which can be reached via the Floating Floc main page.
Currently, the bulk of the system has been debugged and is functionally up and running. Hopefully, we will be able to consistently run experiments, collect and analyze data. In the time we were unable to run experiments, the team and I focused on teach-ins and other assignments while trying to fix the setup. Additionally, we decided to begin performing literature searches earlier than originally planned.
