Automated Design Team

The goal of the Automated Design Team is to edit and improve the current design algorithms to make sure they stay up to date with recent research findings. It is the Design Teamteam's job to make sure the AutoCAD drawings accurately reflect the state of the design algorithms.

Current Objectives

The main goal of the automated design team in the spring semester is to try and update all documentation and finalize the existing master algorithms. By the end of the semester we hope to put the automated design online in LabVIEW.

Other elements of the semester include writing up a design report that will accompany plant drawings, construction plans, and a materials list that will automatically count the number of elbows, pipes, etc. needed for each design. We are also aiding the team in Honduras with projects as well as designing plants for other areas. Descriptions of the plants designed this semester can be found on the Design Projects page.
