On Friday 1.30 we gave the second capacitation to the Junta, interested operators, and representatives of Cuidad Espana. The objective was to explain how the treatment plant operates and its relation to the demo plant. Participants learned how to prepare the aluminum sulfate stock, why the sedimentation tanks have lamella, and some of the research performed at Cornell. Atima, Santa Barbara
On Tuesday 1.27, the mayor from Atima, Santa Barbara visited the APP office to learn about the AguaClara plant. We learned that Atima was interested in a plant through a nearby Peace Corps volunteer. We already sent a turbidimeter there and they have been taking daily samples. Because of the mayor´s continued interest, we will make a trip to Atima next week to present to a larger group of community leaders.
