Introduction
The Hernandez Research Group has developed a novel three-dimensional imaging device for examining biological specimens. The device using a CNC machine and automated microscope to acquire three-dimensional images of bone and fluorescent markers placed within the bone. The goal of this project is to reconfigure the control system for the machine.

Description
The device is currently operated by Labview software that operates a CNC machine (for cutting and positioning), an automated fluorescent wheels, digital camera, air jets and vacuum collectors. The goal of this project will be to upgrade the machine to modern operating systems and, if desired, upgrade the software from Labview to Matlab.
