Composite structural analysis and design of automotive applications, especially monocoque, shell and partial shell structure with local applied loads. First develop particular requirements from Cornell FSAE team. Then learn best practices including designing, analyzing, manufacturing and testing sample items. For FSAE applications this project will be aimed at future years’ designs, almost certainly not for construction this year, though some results could possibly be useful. (FSAE team membership optional but must work very closely with FSAE team)
