Libe Slope
Overlooking Cayuga Lake and West Campus. Many people hangout on grass and picnic here during the Spring, Summer and Fall. Very pretty near the sunset.
Big Red Barn
For graduate students only. They have TGIF (where beers are very cheap) and different social events hosted but various grad student groups such as dance, paint night, trivia, Halloween costume contest, etc. There's a mailing list for a weekly newsletter (not sure if it's weekly, but anyway it's somewhat regular) about events that are happening there.
Dairy Bar
Nice ice cream. Great milkshakes. Fun fact, there's an ice cream making course in Cornell. The team that makes the best ice cream in the course gets their ice cream featured at the Dairy Bar for some time.
Cornell Cinema
$25 for grad students per semester, $30 for other students. One-time passes are $6 for grads and $8 for other students. They don't play newly released movies, but some movies that they play can be fairly recent. They also play other older movies, so it's a great way to rewatch your old time favorites. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.
