Technology Education Teacher
Biographical Sketch

I was born and raised in Ogdensburg, New York.  It is in northern New York on the United States/Canada border.  Growing up on the St. Lawrence River and in a fairly country area has made me into someone that enjoys the outdoors and most of the activities that go along with it.  I enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping.

I moved away from home after high school for college and even further away after getting my bachelor’s degree.  Since that time I am still interested in most of the same things but have added a few interests.  I am very much into health and fitness, and an occasional golf outing.  I always enjoy trying new things and going new places.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Technology Education in December 2008 from the State University of New York at Oswego.  I am currently completing a master’s degree in Career and Technical Education, also through SUNY Oswego.

Since 2008 I have been working as a Technology teacher at Owego Free Academy (OFA) High School in Owego, NY.  Courses that I have been responsible for during this time include: Video Production, Web Design, Principles of Engineering, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Wood Technology I/II, Manufacturing Processes I/II, Production Systems, and Energy and Green Technology.

Energy and Green Technology is a new course to OFA High School and the 2013 school year is the first that it has been offered.  I have a great passion for Green and Sustainable Technologies and was very happy to get the approval to teach this course.  I am always looking to learn new things and educate myself in Alternative Energy/Green Technology/Sustainable Technology and the systems that make these work.

I am a great team worker and I enjoy furthering my education and finding ways to bring it into his classroom.  He is always willing to put in extra time to make the learning experiences he brings to his classroom more meaningful.
