Oya's original message about the topic:

Dear DLIT Colleagues,

I invited Dave Lifka to join our June Developers' Forum  - June 23 noon-1pm at 703 Olin Library.   Dave is the director of  the Center for Advanced Computing.  His group has an important role in the Cornell cyberinfrastructure development efforts.  I asked him to assess the general landscape of high-performance computing at Cornell and also talk about the services and consultancies provided by his group.  This will be a casual conversation so let's be prepared to give him some highlights from our program.  As we explore the Library's role in cyberinfrastructure initiatives,  it will be great to get a better sense of what CAC offers.

If you are planning to join the session and are not familiar with cyber-issues, you may want to browse through one of the following reports:

You'll receive a meeting reminder from Mary Beth with RSVP request as this will be a meeting with lunch provided.

Best, Oya
