Subject: FW: PhysIT is ready to meet your IT service needs

Dear Staff and Lecturers,
As you know our IT support is now transitioning to the support team in Baker Lab that also supports Chemistry. I have included important information about how to contact them for service and/or support, below. Please use the new email address: PhysIT@cornell.edu to report problems.
Oliver and his team are ready and able to help. They will be making the rounds to check in with you and become familiar with your computer in the next few weeks.
As always, please let me know how this goes.
Thanks,
John

Greetings Physics lecturers and staff,

PhysIT staff look forward to serving you as your new IT support group. Please contact us for IT support help, including technical consulting, at:

PhysIT@cornell.edu

Remember to add PhysIT to your email contacts so you reach us instead of contacting Barry.

You can also visit us at Baker 250 or call 607-255-6278.

For IT news and information from PhysIT, please visit < http://it.chem.cornell.edu/>.

If you would like a postcard with the above information, please just let us know- thank you!

As part of this transition, PhysIT will be updating computers to facilitate us supporting them. We will first focus on updating computers presenting problems, and then we’ll catch up on the other computers over the next month or so. We will make arrangements with each person to coordinate these updates since it will likely involve temporarily removing your computer (so we can more efficiently do the work in our main office).  Working with you, we will try very hard to schedule this work so that it is least disruptive to your schedule.

We look forward to getting to know more about your IT needs and how we can serve you.

The PhysIT team
