I met with Lynn from the Buckler lab to talk about how TASSEL is working with GOBII.
They have a machine managed by CBSU on which they have loaded GOBII platform using their scripts. They also use the machine to store a very large MonetDB for rare alleles.
CBSU handles system administration. Lynn is DB administrator so she occasionally request system changes or new software from CBSU.
Lynn has written plugins to load data bypassing the Data Loader UI. The load files populate Postgress, MonetDB, and HDF5.
TASSEL can query some meta information from Postgres. Terry is working on features to query genomic data from MonetDB/HDF5.
