The Item search segment includes the same keyword search option as the Instance and Holdings segments. It also includes Barcode, ISBN and ISSN, Effective call number, and Item HRID.
The Item filter includes Item status, Effective location, Holdings location, Material type, Suppression, and Tags (which CUL does not currently plan to use)
Barcode
The Barcode search allows you to scan, copy/paste, or type a barcode.
Effective call number
Because FOLIO allows us to assign a call number at the item level, the effective call number is a calculated property.
The effective call number always includes the call number prefix if one is present.
The eye-readable and normalized call number searches in the Item segment work in the same way they do in the Holdings segment
