Background: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Falkensee (antigenic formula 3,{10}{15}:i:e,n,z15) is a serovar of the O:3,10 (E1) serogroup. This serovar has previously been isolated from abattoir effluent and dried yeast.
Animal reservoir: Serovar Falkensee has been found in cattle, chicken and pigs.
Geographical distribution: Serovar Falkensee has been found in Europe, Australia, Lebanon, Thailand, and the U.S.
Outbreaks: No outbreaks have been associated with S. Falkensee.
