Global Atlantic Financial Group Limited

Sam is the Chief Legal Officer for Global Atlantic Financial Group, with responsibilities
for legal, compliance and regulatory and government affairs. In
addition, he serves on the Company’s Executive Committee. Sam received his
Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University
and his Master of Science degree in systems engineering from NYU Tandon
School of Engineering. He was a practicing engineer for several years before
pursuing a legal career at Hofstra University School of Law. He served as law
clerk to Judge C. Arlen Beam of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals before
joining the New York law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell where he specialized in
securities law. He left S&C to join Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he served as a
Managing Director & Associate General Counsel. He was a founding member
of the Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group, which was sold and renamed Global
Atlantic. In addition to his work at Global Atlantic, Sam currently serves as
one of a small group of alumni on the Law School Dean’s Alumni Advisory
Board and on its Campaign Task Force.
