New Templates for Corporate Sponsorship

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research recently announced
new templates designed to reduce the time and ease the difficulty
of negotiating an agreement with a corporate sponsor.  The forms
come in two varieties, one for basic research and one for applied
research, although the latter is expected to be the one most
commonly used.  The templates are designed to more quickly
reach the midpoint between Cornell’s and the corporation’s
interests.  Agreements even more favorable to the company can
be negotiated, but this would require special circumstances that
would clearly benefit the university (e.g., sponsorship on the
scale of a multi-investigator center).  Please have a look and feel
free to provide any feedback.

Thanks,
Lance
