1. Under Instructor Class Tools select Add Reserve Items. This will take you to a new page where you can select the type of reserves you would like to add.
  2. From the icons near the top of the page select the type of item you wish to add to your course.
  3. You will be presented with a form to fill in with all the citation information for the item being requested. Please fill in all possible fields to give the reserves staff as much information as possible.
  4. At the bottom of the form you will be presented with a list of options for how the item will be supplied for reserves. Please select one.
    1. *I would like the Library to purchase this material if not available in Library Collections -*This item should be chosen if an item is available through one of Cornell University's Libraries. The reserves staff will pull the item from the stacks and place it on reserve for you.
    2. *The item should link to a website -*This option is for linking to one of Cornell University Libraries licensed databases, or for linking to publicly available materials. If you choose this option please place the URL of the item to which you wish to link in the space provided.
    3. *I will upload a file -*This option should be chosen if you have a file on your local machine that you wish to upload to our server at this time. Selecting this option will prompt you with a upload dialog box to select the file you wish to add to the reserve readings.
    4. *I will bring the material to the library -*This option should be selected if you or your department has a personal copy you wish the library to place on reserve for your course.
  5. If you wish you may place the item on reserve for more than one class. This can be done at the bottom of the request form by placing a check mark next to all the courses for which you wish this item to be on reserve.
  6. To finish your request please click on the Submit Request button at the bottom of the screen.
