2CUL PHASE II – MONOGRAPH ORDERING WORKING GROUP – POSSIBLE PILOT PROJECTS

 

1. "Sharing a single 2CUL ordering specialist for more difficult/challenging-to-obtain items.”

  • Columbia has recently hired a support staff person for difficult/hard-to-find ordering.
  • Cornell’s staff person who handled difficult/hard-to-find orders is retiring in six months.
  • Put the two staff members in touch so Columbia’s staff person could utilize Cornell’s knowledge base.
  • One staff person (Columbia’s?) to handle difficult/hard-to-find orders for 2CUL
    • Shifting work assigned to Columbia’s staff person to others in OAR so they can handle both institutional workloads?

2. “Potential use of Cornell’s corporate Amazon [account] to order material for Columbia.”

  • Investigate the possibility of Columbia using Cornell’s corporate account, or Cornell placing orders for Columbia and having them ship to Columbia.
  • Include Columbia’s Financial Services department on initial discussions regarding budgetary funds and ordering from one address and shipping to another.

4. Setting up a WorldCat Selection account for a Columbia selector to use.
