2CUL TSI SG July 15, 2013

Attending: Kate, Colleen, Robert, Boaz, Adam & Jim

Proposed agenda (Kate 7.10.13):

We will meet at our regular time of 11 and it is Boaz's turn for Minutes.

1.  Continue the E-Resources Trouble Shooting discussion. Our main question is how should we move forward to make sure that all the e-resources groups get the support they need.  In preparation, please

    a.  Read the Phase One Trouble Shooting Report and other documentation on their page.

    b. Have we answered Troubleshooting's request for a deadline change in Jim's note to Working Group and Team Leads or do want to be more specific?

    c.  Tease out from the report what needs to take place and what we need to consider near term and later. Try to sort out phase 1 and phase 2 components in the report.

    d.  Continue discussion on holding an e-resources summit.  Should we have it and if so how should we frame the discussion?

2.  Plans for a 2CUL cultural assessment

    a.  Questions on work to date (see Nisa's email to Kate outlining some of what has happened)

    b.  Review section on assessment in the Mellon grant copied below.

    c.  Begin to consider what we want to learn from assessment and how we should be involved in the survey process.

Minutes:

We had time to discuss, in length, only the first agenda item (Kate and Jim will continue to discuss this on their Tuesday meeting):

In general, TSI SC is happy with the TB phase 1 report and would like the team to continue to work on phase 2 recommendations.

We decided to extend the Troubleshooting Team's phase 2 deadline till Sept 1st.

We would like the TB team to focus on coming up with specific recommendations to supplement their phase 1 bullet points (under "continuing work").

Jim will begin to draft a software' requirement document that will provide a framework for TB team (and other teams) to request 2CUL support and funding for software purchasing and evaluation.

Implementation suggestions (coming from TB or other teams) will be reviewed by TSI SC team or TSI admin team  - some may be specific enough to be approved already and some may need to wait till we gain better alignment with other suggestions.

Colleen (as the liaison to the TB team) will communicate our decisions to the TB team later this week.
