- Cornell RM up and running.  Some data entry left.  Contacts being entered into Cornell RM, rather than CE.

CE Steps:

Identify some common packages to explore in CE - ScienceDirect, Wiley, Springer

 - NERL Agreements

  • Complex accounts - many titles, subscribed, not subscribed.  Start with Journal accounts
  • Simpler accounts?  Identify a "simple" package to manage in CE as well.  Cambridge/Oxford?

To learn:

  • Enter license at CE - share/inherit to both RMs, determine any local changes needed to agreements, link accordingly.
  • Compare title lists to determine how best to manage Databases of these titles.

Known differences -

Springer- Columbia manages via Ebsco as line by line subscriptions, Cornell via Harras as lump sum invoice.  Cornell has not added NewStarts/TakeOver packages since beginning of contract.  Columbia ???  Springer agreement up for renewal for 2015 subscription year.  Proposal is unknown at this time.

Wiley - both via Ebsco - both have line by line subscriptions and a lump sum non-sub title group.  Cornell has not updated "FullCollection" since 2010.  Columbia does update the Full Collection annually.

Elsevier - Columbia via Ebsco, Cornell via Elsevier - both have line by line subscriptions and a lump sum non-sub title group (Freedom Collection fee)

For next week:

Answer open questions: Who has what?  Regarding updates to full collections.  Title lists?  Springer first.

 - Identify one or two small agreements in common.  How is Columbia billed for Oxford and Cambridge?  - look over NERL comparison spreadsheet to find likely candidates.
