To all CIT LAMP Hosting Service users,
The following information may have gone out to Net-Admin, Net-Announce, CIT-Alert, or CIT-All. Please excuse duplicates you may receive as a result, and please forward as needed.
Sunday April 05, 2009 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 noon, CIT staff will be applying a phpMyAdmin patch and an Apache configuration patch/fix to the LAMP Hosting Service web server, palm.cit.cornell.edu.
These patches are necessary to keep the systems up to date and at the latest release. Typically this includes fixing bugs, and improving security, usability or performance.
During the maintenance window the LAMP service may be unreachable or unresponsive. No impact to the functionality of any hosted application is expected, however, if you do experience any problems after the maintenance is completed please send an email to "webservices-l@cornell.edu". The changes can be rolled back on a per-instance basis if needed.
