- Gray VOC-protective N95 mask
Step by step
Since many of the shapes we are attempting to make have tall heights/deep curves, the plug shapes are split into layers for CNC’ing. After they are CNC’d we glue them together to create the desired shape
(CEV - Unibond 800)
- Pour out a bit of glue on the plug.
- Place the two parts of the plug together.
- Clamp the foam together.
- Let it sit for 6 hours.
(Baja - US Composites 150 Thick Epoxy Resin + 4:1 Epoxy Hardener)
- Measure out 4 parts 150 Thick Epoxy Resin into a cup on a scale.
- Measure out 1 part Epoxy Hardener on the scale.
- Mix the resin and hardener together vigorously using a popsicle stick.
- Pour a small amount of the mixture onto the foam and spread it around with a squeegee.
- Place the two layers of foam together and hold them together with a clamp or weights.
