Soojin Kim is Senior Vice President and Head of Biopharmaceuticals
Manufacturing and Development at Hanmi Pharmaceutical Co. in South
Korea. Soojin’s organization is responsible for production, manufacturing
science/development, and regulatory affairs of biologics portfolio including
proteins/antibody/ large molecules drug substances/products development
as well as commercial manufacturing for Synojoynt™, Rolontis®, and
efpeglenatide, Prior to joining Hanmi in 2015, Soojin worked at Boehringer
Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT as Senior Research Fellow and Head of API
Development Group and at Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick, NJ as
Head of Solid State Development Group in Chemical Process R&D. She contributed
to the development and commercialization of Reyataz®, Sprycel®,
Eliquis®, Abilify®, Daklinza®, Plavix®, Giotrif®, and Spiriva®. Soojin has
B.S. from Cornell and M.S and Ph.D. from Caltech, all in Chemical Engineering,
and resides in South Korea and New Jersey with husband, Doo S. Lee
(B.S. ’86 MAE, M.Eng. ’88 ORIE) and son, Joseph (Engr ’22).
