ssh access to the head node, nanolab.cnf.cornell.edu, is allowed from all campus networks.
If you are already remotely connected to CNF Thin, you may connect to the cluster from your CNF Thin session.
To access the CNF cluster from off campus, you must connect to the GuestID Cornell VPN service or to the NetID Cornell VPN service. In general, it does not matter if you connect to the main Cornell VPN or to a departmental VPN.
CNF Cluster users with a Cornell GuestID must use the separate Cornell GuestID VPN service to connect to RS-CNF-VPN-GID .
CNF Cluster netid users with a current Cornell affiliation (faculty, staff, student) may connect to the main Cornell VPN or to Cornell departmental VPN to access the CNF Cluster.
CNF Cluster netid users with no other Cornell affiliation (eg alumni) must contact CNF Computing to have their NetID converted to a Sponsored NetID.
Use your favorite ssh client to connect with your NetID or GuestID to host: nanolab.cnf.cornell.edu .
