Due to limited conservator time and many competing priorities, including demand for complex rare treatment, rehousing, digitization projects from across Cornell University Library, we are frequently switching between project deadlines. Below is a information explaining how we respond to incoming materials and how we often prioritize work.

- Some items in the low priority category may be batched with similar treatments in the high priority categories.
- Items in the high categories may receive partial treatments in order to make deadlines and then be recalled for further treatment.
