This service has been designed collaboratively.  Jean would like everyone to be involved, but only as they are comfortable.  If you see your name listed and are uncomfortable with roles as described, or have ways that you can be involved that are not mentioned, please let Michelle know.

Jean sees this gathering primarily as a celebration of Jack's life, not necessarily a sad occasion, although there will likely be some tears shed.  Taking pictures is encouraged.

Tony carries urn from downstairs family room to patio, while all sing “In the garden”.  Tony places the urn in the wagon.

We will be scattering about half of the cremains.  The other half will be kept in the urn, in Jean's possession, for later mixing with her cremains, according to her wishes.

Return to the patio

Selection of lanyards, capsules and fill tube

In turn (Jean, Marianne, Cherith, Michelle, Tony, Trista, Kim, Dee, Addy) all select a silk lanyard, a capsule, and a fill tube with cremains for personal remembrance.  It is our hope that at a later date, when Jean and Jack's cremains are to be mixed, all will reassemble, empty their individual fill tubes into that mix, and then refill the tubes with the combined cremains.

Music selections:

Recessional

Kim takes ashes back inside and places on table to musical selection “Baby don’t you cry” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inqd00PuNqQ.   All are encouraged to sing.  (Lyrics here.)

After the service, all are invited to eat together

There will be time for sharing regarding our reflections on Jack’s life during the meal. Food below will be provided. Other contributions (chips, drinks, etc.) are welcome.
