Windows

For those of you interested in the MS wireless display adapter Chemistry IT uses themselves, here's information from Roger (A&S IT):

You can project Wirelessly from virtually any Windows 10 device, Win 10 phone, or newer Androids
- Uses “Miracast” Wireless display standard – included in Intel Wireless Display 3.5 WiDi specs
- The adapter connects to HDMI, like a projector or TV connection
  - The adapter needs USB power, either from a TV port, or an external power adapter
  - Similar Windows wireless display functionality is available on other devices which can receive WiDi – ROCU stick, some TV’s, etc. Performance may vary.
  - Some Security via an onscreen code that gets entered onto the connecting PC.
Lars, in Chemistry, has one permanently set up in the Baker 200 lecture hall, selectable via the AV console. Works throughout the hall.
Chemistry IT has one they have used ad hoc.

When buying Microsoft's version, be sure to get v2 – v1 are still for sale and not as good.
