• Sara E, Nick, & Tobi  had productive conversation with Oregon State about SUMA; they also mentioned Duke has been using it. Shared info (and new interface w/multiplier button, which they were excited about); sampling weeks idea

• Possible book proposal on library space assessment by Sara E, Tobi and Camille for Libraries Unlimited

• Makerspaces are a go! Mann 112 being rearranged now as semi-permanent makerspace for fall

• Mann video “strike force” starting to do online video; separate from CUL online learning group

• This summer, green room off Dean’s Room will become One Button Studio. Lights and lockable door will be added. Current studio will become reservable group study

• Flip book is almost done; quick process. Gabe will send link

• Classroom demo funding from CALS got pulled; designer will try & give us plans anyway

• 360 Ricoh camera ($360 and outputs useful formats (mp4s and , live streaming); extra money in budget so Matt will buy

• Gabe contacted Ithaca College makerspace person (Ryan Bouric?)

• Matt met with Presentation Source-quote for adding webcam on far wall, mics into system that puts audio and video in so Stone could be videoconferencing room. $13K. Has to go into Crestron system; 9 years old and if it failed couldn’t replace it. DO we want to spend an extra $13K on old core system. Asked for quote to update; $21 K. Ezra asked them to include Greg Bronson’s integrated AV group to meet Cornell standards (already working on 106). Met with Greg Friday; they will provide equipment lists, scope of work drawing, and present it to vendors for $2500. Then would go to bid (have to because state); one of vendors bidding would be vendor Matt already talked to. So overall $15-20K with CIT’s involvement (also gives us control of the Crestron code which would allow us to make changes ourselves instead of paying for expensive Crestron technician and would give us standardized AV and discount bulk pricing). Question: do we have a need for both lecture capture/screencasting and a full web conferencing/distance learning classroom? There will probably be enough use to need both; there’s not likely to be less need for this. No ceiling mic but could add something down the line but expensive; we would have lavalier, podium mic, and handheld mic capability. Possibly add single button lecture capture capability to quote. Matt will recommend going forward to Sara

• Nick gave a quick look at the excellent draft data dashboard. Pulling from various data sources and can make responsive dashboard
