Lancaster and Crane share a headnode, so social conventions are required to ensure researchers are not negatively surprised.

Social convention

Group members can use their own group's nodes. The only coordination required, if any, is within the group.
If a research in one group wants to use nodes from the other group, they must contact the other group and work out a schedule and other specifics.
