MaLT Meeting Minutes October 19th, 2011

In attendance: Gabriel, Camille, Joy, Jim, Matt, Howard, & Sara

• New Charge was reviewed and approved by committee with no additions or modifications.   
• Agati furniture - a 2 week demo has been approved.
  • Sara will check the spring academic calendar and determine the best 2 weeks for the demo,most likely the first couple week in February before exams begin.
  • Sara will also email the Agati rep and find out about movability of the furniture as well as the possibility of customizing tables & chairs with wheels.
• Sara has a meeting with DEA student Sara Lesage and they will discuss the design of moveable partitions & whiteboards 
  • Jim suggested Stanford's move-able whiteboard design as a template for Sara on the type of design we are seeking
• Gabriel reported that interested has been high for the ipad workshops next week with the 1st session being completely full.  
  • Following Gabriel's discussions with Apple Rep. Rick, we are going to look into a computer science student creating a social networking type site for collaborative class work.
  • Joy brought up the possibility of working with CIFAD & TEEAL as they might be very interested in this project.
• Camille has posted several questions for our upcoming user survey to confluence.  Next meeting we will refine our questions for submission to IRB.
• Tidebreak's CEO will be at our next meeting to demo Teamspot.
