Summer 2009 Contributions

During Summer 2009, I worked with Jeff Kats and Josiah Pothen in Design Team. I assisted my team to redesign sedimentation exit channel based on head loss calculation. After my team calculated the optimal width of the exit channel, I took wireframe images of the redesigned exit channel in AutoCAD and updated them in the sedimentation design page. Also, my team worked on designing the prototype of a drainage system in a flocculator that drains sludges without valves. I helped my team by creating a three dimensional AutoCAD draft of the drainage system. In addition to the team projects, I worked independently on creating rendered animations showing how each element of a sedimentation tank assembles together.

Spring 2010 Contributions

With Dr. Weber-Shirk's guidance, I started working on automating the process of generating professional layout sheets in AutoCAD. IĀ identified and organized few AutoCAD commands that are needed for the process. I updated and dubugged the MtoATranslator with the new commands such as layout, shademode, viewports layer, model space, and paper space.
