My name is Sue Porter. I live in a small town called Greene. It is a very nice place to live and raise a family. We have two grown children who are pursuing careers of their own after attending college. I enjoying being outdoors and gardening. I walk and try to exercise daily.
Upon graduating from SUNY Cortland I was fortunate to start my teaching career at Whitney Point School. I received my masters from Binghamton in reading. I have taught some general Biology, but my career has been in the middle school science. I have taught both physical and life science to 7th and 8 th graders. Many people think middle school teachers are crazy, but I enjoy this group and their energy. I coached field hockey and basketball prior to beginning my family.
I am happy to host Rachel in my seventh grade accelerated class this year. I look forward to her new and fresh ideas for my students. She will be a great resource for adding current technology to my classroom. The students in our school community are fortunate to be exposed to Cornell and the programs it may offer them someday.
