Purpose: Announce CIT's intent to discontinue a service. Is also used as final notice that a service has been discontinued.1
This template is used for communicating with end users as well as technical support providers. Communications to the latter group should include technical details (or a URL) if the discontinued service may affect interoperability of services they provide, or if they are expected to assist users in finding alternatives.
1 Some CIT services have existing methods for communicating directly with the users of their services. Changes to those services are handled using those methods.
